This afternoon, we had our second ever radio play of our music. Battered & Bruised was played as part of an interview with DJ Clarkson (or Kelly Ings) who is promoting a new Indie music night at The Apartments in Swindon starting on Thursday 25th October.
Kelly was asked to bring along one of her favourite tracks and chose this one by us! Thank you Kelly.

By the way, almost forgot (What????) heard today that as part of DJ Clarkson’s promotion of her new Indie night at The Apartments in Swindon which starts on Thursday 25th October, she was interviewed by Brunel FM radio and they are broadcasting the interview along with Battered & Bruised by The Knott at approximately 1:30pm on Sunday 21st October.
Well, we came second in the competition being run by GWR FM (our local radion station - or one of them) and we lost to a local band called Otoko - which apparently means “men” or “guys” in Japanese I believe (bit of useless information there…).
Anyway - I digress. Lee & I popped along to The Vic tonight to check them out and I managed to capture this video of them. There’s a couple of songs here. All I will say is it’s not the performance The Knott would have given!
The first song I didn’t catch the title of but the second was called “Black Sheep”

Hello , just received some fantastic news from Matt.
GWR FM Wiltshire have recently been running a competiton for bands to enter to support This is Seb Clarke who is doing a gig at The Vic Swindon on Friday the 19th October (next Friday) .This was done by bands uploading their songs to the GWR website and 4 finalists would be chosen by Kevin from Music Control yesterday evening .
And they have chosen us to be in the final 4 !!!!!!!!!
Of course we never had any doubts ,but its so nice to feel validated by someone who knows something about music (and prove my wife wrong ).
The next stage is that our song “Politics For Lunch” will be played all week on GWR FM Wiltshire and you have to vote for us on their website between 9am on Monday 15th October and 5pm on Thursday 18th October. Following that, the name of the band with the most votes will be announced on the Breakfast Show on Friday and that band will get the show.
Those who have seen us live will know it will be a blistering set and that we put on a fantastic live show so please get voting as soon as the polls open , Thank you Wiltshire!
Yes were back at Riff’s Bar at short notice to play this saturday night .
Were on second apparently and we’re playing with teabo according to the Riffs website who we have played with before at STFC Winners Lounge, and Rats Ruined My Brain . It looks set to be a good night of electric playing.
Thought i’d post up this bit of good news we recieved yesterday. We’re gonna be on the radio thanks to our freind DJ Clarkson.
She’s gonna be on Brunel FM as part of the promotion for her new indie night she’s putting on at The Apartments in Swindon (Go to it , it i’ll be good) and as part of it shes been asked to bring a track of her favorite Swindon band to play on the show and thats were we come in.
Were gonna be featured (providing all goes well) on The Frequency Show on Sunday 21st October between 12 and 4 PM .
Brunnel FM is on 107.7 FM in the Swindon area.
