Nope, you can’t come to this one unless you’ve been invited. We’d just like to say congrats you two and thanks for your support over the last year!
We’re headlining at The Vic on 31st August which is great. Friday night too which is even better!!
We last played at The Vic since 15th February so it’s been a while but we’re looking forward to it. We’ll get full details posted up here as soon as we can.
Off to Manchester soon to entertain the masses. Unfortunately, we’re doing it as a 3-piece due to Roy being in Spain but Should me massive!
The address is :- The Jolly Butcher
Petersfield Drive,
Baguley,
Manchester,
M23 9PS
The Knott are pleased, nay absolutely jumping up and down with excitement, to announce the release of their debut EP “Get Knotted”.
Comprising of 5, yes count them, 5 tracks the EP is professionally pressed and packaged and looks & sounds absolutely fantastic.
At present, you will only be able to buy the CD at gigs - it will be on sale at Friday 27th July’s gig at The Bell in Old Town as a sort of pre-release and also on Saturday 28th July at The Festival On The Green of course as that’s the date we’ve chosen as the official release date.
Matt is working really hard to get an online shop integrated with the site so that you can buy the CD online. However, this is proving more difficult than it ought to be because of the system the site is based around. Grrrr!
Anyway, the CDs are priced at ?Ǭ£4 each. Catch any of the band at a gig over the next couple of days in order to buy one. If you can’t make a gig, then please check back after the weekend and you should be able to buy online.
We’ve been invited to play The Bell on the High St, Old Town, Swindon tomorrow night (hence the late listing!) which we’ve agreed to do. Matt really wants to as that particular pub was his old stomping ground in his teens before it became the intensely horrible Fusion!
But the main reason we’ve agreed to do it is because we figure it will be a good warm up gig for Saturday at the Festival On The Green which we’re REALLY looking forward to.
It’s only us on tomorrow night, along with a DJ who is opening for us and going back on after we’ve finished. So don’t blink or you’ll miss it! We’ll be going on at about 9:30ish. Hope to see you there.
We’ve been invited to play at the Sugarhill Festival by Puttyfoot Promotions. The festival actually runs over 2 days, the 8th/9th September and free campings is available.
Other acts appearing are Dreadzone, Doctor & The Medics, The Beat, and loads more. Full details of the festival, including booking information, is located at www.sugarhillfestival.co.uk so have a quick look.
Suffice to say, we’re not playing on the mainstage with the big boys. But as soon as we get some more details we’ll let you know! Watch this space.
This is a big one - around 1000 people are expected so we’re pretty confident we’re going to be playing to more people than we have done as a band so far. We’re also going to be launching our debut EP “Get Knotted” at the festival, so make sure you’re there in order to grab a copy!
Bands to make an effort to see include (in no particular order), The Following Announcement, BillyJon, Rag Doll Girl, Teabo, Divebomb Revolution and of course The Knott! (NB: We would have recommended Buswell of course, but their set clashes with ours which is a real shame! Would have liked to have seen them - Matt)
I’ve just finished updating our MySpace site and also intergrating a new mp3 player into this site. Have a look at the audio page to check it out in action.
You’ll notice that it’s also pre-loaded with all 5 tracks that we recorded yesterday. We’re really pleased with the end results although there have been mutterings of some ‘further tweaks’ but please, leave us your feedback and let us know what YOU think. After all, yours are the only truly objective ears as you haven’t been involved in the creation of these tracks ;p.
We’re hoping to have some CDs pressed and ready for sale on 12th July at our gig at Riff’s Bar but it may be 20th July before we get it together - we’ll have to see how we do…
Update 9 July 2007
We’re definitely going to have a few CDs available on Thursday but unfortunately, not the full, final pressing. As a result, these CDs are going to be much reduced from the price of the CDs on sale in the very near future. See upcoming Release information for further details.
OK, so have a listen, give us your comments oh, and tell your friends about this band you heard! The more the merrier we say!
Update 15 July 2007
Unfortunately, further delays with the pressing process mean that we’re not going to have the final CDs in time for our gig this Friday at Big Fish so the official release date has been put back to 28th July. Just in time to coincide with our first festival appearance at the Festival On The Green (which I’ve just realised - ISN’T LISTED ON THE SITE!!! Jeez, I’m lax! Will have to get that sorted today!
